Of course I can't quit thinking about the Ahwatukee house. Could it be our diamond in the rough!

I found this image of a modernized A-frame. I think it is a good point of reference, since the Ahwatukee house is not a typical block construction. The sky light in the top of this house could work for the front over hang "thing" of the Ahwatukee house.

While, I would not do this much open design in the desert (the house faces East / West), I like the big windows and would likely shutter them and add a concrete raised bed (above) of either palms or bamboo, since 1/2 of our family is severely allergic to desert plant life.

Thrashed Awatukee house has dream house potential!

The location of this house is AMAZING! It is selling for 70% less than it foreclosed at in December 2010! A SWEET deal that COULD, and I stress COULD, be our next move.

Thinking about a hope chest...

Not really sure how to shop for something like this, as storing old junk is not exactly a modern minimalist thing to do. But I really need an alternative to the plastic bin motif I have going on now. This one is the Zocalo - 3034 - Sterling Park Trunk in Dark Cherry.
